No Clean Exits – A really dirty race

Thunderstorms turned Ulu Choh Dirt Park (UCDP) into a god-sized mud pie on the morning of 13 May 2018, when 127 dirtbikers slid and splashed through a punishing race course at the “Good Old Days 2” Enduro. Organised by the Motorcycle Safety and Sports Club of Singapore (MSSC), the race saw an enthusiastic turnout of competitors from Singapore and Malaysia, with some travelling from as far as Ipoh to UCDP in Johor.

The sloppy conditions swiftly took their toll, with a good number of participants throwing in the towel mid-race, pleading sheer exhaustion or bike damage. Some five hours after the flag-off, the recovery squad was still working to extricate riders mired in the slick ruts and mud pools.
